Fall Fashion Forecast !

It is August which means fashionistas everywhere are gearing up for fall fashion. Autumn for me is bittersweet. I love summer and all the amazing fashion choices it allots you, backless tops, spaghetti strap maxis, bustier tops, shorts and peep toe pumps and the list goes on. However, there is something so awesome about fall fashion that makes me giddy with joy! I am a sweater fanatic and I love being able to walk outside on a crisp fall day with a tunic sweater, leather leggings and pumps. And of course with fall comes Fall Fashion Week; one of the best things about fall alone!

Now with that said, there are a ton of fall fashions out there and it is important that we identify some of the most popular, how to wear them and what to wear them with.

First let’s make an easy transition into fall fashion with the color trend. We are already use to color because of spring and summer we had tons of bubblegum pink, electric blue, sunny yellow and more. This fall we are still going to see color, the palette just changes. Colors will be in more royal rich ,darker hues and muted neutrals. A few colors include: greens,pinks-dark and blush, gray, gold, brown and tangerine tango of course-it’s the color of the year!

Colorblocking

We are still colorblocking it is just using the new fall color palette

Menswear Inspired

This trend takes the masculine look of blazers and point collar oxfords and mixes them with surprising feminine pieces and cuts. When wearing this trend make sure that you are not going all out man; but mix and match accordingly. If one piece is slouchy make sure that the other is fitted. A great way to achieve this look is by pairing a fitted blazer, with a point collar oxford, slouchy jeans and a metallic or sequin shoe to add that feminine touch.

Ladylike

Just because the menswear trend is here doesn’t mean designers  don’t appreciate the detailing that comes with being a lady. We will still be seeing delicate accents like chiffon and  lace it will just be made more appropriate for the fall season.

Animal Motif

A lot of clothing has featured animal graphics as of late. I love this trend because of its playfulness and understated chic. Make sure when wearing this trend that you are pairing it with grown up pieces to make the look sophisticated.

Sequin Accents

Sequins are everywhere this fall! Don’t limit your sequin wearing to night only. This Fall Fashion season designers are adding sequins to just about everything including shoes, purses, shorts, sweaters, etc. A great way to wear sequins for day is in a       skirt. Pair a sequined skirt with a white tee or casual sweater with ballet flats or booties for a fabulous-glam casual look.
