So it’s been such a weird time trying to figure out what day it is most days lol! However, I have been trying to keep busy by still trying out Spring trends, making my own etc! I have decided to show you how to style a slip dress for day!
Now babes this slip dress I’m wearing is actually a true vintage nightie! To wear a piece like this and not have it look like you’re walking a Victoria’s Secret runway is by pairing it with chic accessories and structured pieces!
I paired this vintage slip with pumps and an oversized pink jacket, I added a baseball hat to finish off the look!
Everything I’m wearing is sold out or vintage so I will link to similar styles!
Today, I decided to wear one of my favorite dresses! I know the dress is a bit “extra” for a casual outing but I love it! I have had this dress for probably 8 years sitting in my closet brand new for all that time! I wore it for the first time for my latest round of maternity pics and have been trying to find the “perfect” time to wear it again ever since. However, now that we have to all be at home and there aren’t any restaurants or malls, etc open there isn’t anywhere “special” to wear it to! That’s when I decided special is any day and every day!
Stop waiting for the perfect time to wear something. The perfect time doesn’t exist! The perfect time is anytime. You are special so that’s reason enough to wear your favorite outfit! This quarantine has taught me to appreciate the little things even more so than I already did and to not take things like wearing my favorite outfit for granted.
So today I’m here to tell you wear the dress, blazer, shoes or whatever special thing you’ve been waiting to wear! There’s usually always a way to make it work for day!
For example, on its own my dress is pretty fancy, however, paired with this plaid top and flats it makes it a bit more approachable for day!
Dress and plaid top are both sold out from Free People.
Nothing says Spring like sporting Florals! It’s timeless and fresh and just screams Spring.
Florals feel like a renewal of fresh and bright things to come!
As you all should know by now, I’m in love with all things vintage, from furniture to clothing, vintage is for me! It’s a great way to reuse what we have and be chic at the same time!
I’ve paired my vintage floral dress with my signature red pumps and a baseball hat to make this fancy dress more casual!
Usually I have my vintage finds for sale in my boutique, however this time I fell in love and kept the dress!
